FOUR kittens have been found abandoned in Warminghurst.
The kittens, who are around two weeks old, were found dumped by a pond outside Kate Duke's livery yard in Newhouse Lane.
She said: "It's terrible really isn't it? The poor mother must have been devastated.

"It doesn't take much to pick up a phone does it? There are plenty of sanctuaries that will rescue these animals."

Ms Duke, who works at agricultural merchants Gatleys in Storrington, contacted Paws Animal Sanctuary in Findon Village, which is now caring for them.

Proprietor Stacey McSpirit said the kittens had been stuffed in a box for an iPod music and video docking station.
