THERE will be a day of celebration at Tangmere Military Aviation Museum on Sunday (July 27) to mark the 90th anniversary of the RAF – and to commemorate the establishment of Tangmere as a military airfield.
The Tangmere 90 event will feature flying displays by a Spitfire and a Harvard, an aviation art exhibition, military vehicles and open cockpits.
There will also be live music, re-enactment artists, stalls and talks. Peter Twiss, the first man to f
ly faster than 1,000mph and a former test pilot for Fairey Aviation, will attend the celebration.
Adult entry tickets cost £7 from 10am and accompanied under-16s are free. Parking is also free.
