This photograph shows nurses from the KE2 ward at Graylingwell War Hospital during the period 1914 to 1918.
Chichester resident Emma England has had the photograph for a number of
years and contacted the Observer in case anyone could shed any light on the people pictured.
Mrs England's father, George Kane, was in the Durham light infantry and it is thought the photograph was taken when he was treated at the hospital, possibly for malaria after serving in Salonika.
"They are Chichester nurses and someone might recognise a face. I was sorting out some things and I remember seeing this photograph when I was young," said Mrs England.
If you have any information about the photograph, write to the Observer at Unicorn House, 8 Eastgate Square, Chichester, PO19 1JN or email
