PICTURE-perfect moments were captured when the winners of the Observer's Baby of the Year portrait competition were presented with their prizes.
Overall winner Frankie Francis (six months), from Midhurst, was handed his trophy and portrait by Carolyn Cartwright of competition sponsor Woodpecker Nursery in Tangmere Road, Chichester.

"It was great to meet the winner," she said. "We are so pleased to be associated with this fantastic competition."

Winner of the under nine months category, Krystal Louise Muir, from Bognor Regis, was also presented with her trophy, as was Ruby Megan Macey, from Chichester, who won the 19 to 36 month category.

The winner of the ten to 18 months category was Niamh Edwards, from Chichester.

Voted for by Observer readers, the competition attracted more than 250 entries.

"It was just such a wonderful competition and we are really excited about next year's event," organiser Helen Watt said.
