HARDWORKING postal workers in Broadfield have been rewarded for all their efforts by winning a national prize.
The Broadfield Post Office, on Broadfield Barton, has been running for just under two years and won the Best Commercial Branch in England prize.

They beat off competition from more than 8500 other offices and the staff are delighted.

Manager Jackie Limbachia said: "We thought we were just going for a special dinner and had no idea that we would be winning a prize.

"I was just gobsmacked when the lights were put on us and we had to go up on stage and collect the prize off the managing director.

She added: "I thought why us, but they said that we weren't lucky, they had done research and we were the best of the best. It was a brilliant evening."
