Letter: Completely wrong and patronizing

Local council elections coming up, ‘same old, same old’ as far as party politics go, same divisions, same back stabbing, same rubbish and idle boasts in respect of council tax, for example no increase in council tax.

Why, because pay as you go indirect tax increases, franchise agreements bordering on privatization have taken their place these changes are there for all to see, permit parking on the streets, pay and display in council/rate payer-owned and funded buildings, offices, parks, gardens and leisure facilities.

The majority of the non -voters, I venture to suggest, is mainly due to apathy and discontent with the candidates put before them and to assume that all non - voters are happy too go along with the outcome is completely wrong and patronizing.
