JOHN Duly and local hairdresser Phil Jarman have been named as part of the consortium taking over Crawley Town - as exclusively predicted by the Crawley Observer last week.
The SA Group has sold its controlling interest in the club to Prospect Estates Holdings Limited and former club owner Mr John Duly.

Chairman Victor Marley has confirmed a new board of directors have been put in place. The appointments will include Marley, John Duly, Phil Jarman and Tom Scott, while it is expected that a number of further appointments will be made within a short timescale.

Marley said: "It is an exciting time for everyone at Crawley Town Football Club. The newly formed board of directors, once finalised, offer local businessman who have a real desire to take this Football Club forward.

"It leaves me now to thank and acknowledge the SA Group for all they have done for Crawley Town Football Club."

Marley will meet with his new directors on Friday, and put in place a strategy for the immediate future, including a press conference, meetings with Crawley Borough Council and the Football Conference respectively.
