Firefighters rush to A24 oil spill

FIREFIGHTERS battled to control a large oil spill from a tractor on the A24 near Washington yesterday morning.
The 150-metre slick on the southbound carriageway near North Farm saw a Findon fire crew rushing to the scene to protect nearby drains and sand the road.
Firefighters said 25 litres of hydraulic oil spilt from the tractor at about 9.23am.
