Horsham traders hope for floral flourish

EAST Street traders are hoping a floral flourish will draw people into the newly-pedestrianised Horsham road.
A group have got together to put up colourful hanging flower baskets above their premises.
Shopkeepers said this week that although the trial pedestrianisation, launched on June 30, had increased footfall, they are concerned that not enough has been done to attract shoppers.
Worries also remain over the continuing operation of the cycle lane, which some fear could be a safety risk.
La Source, Strada, Town and Country Weigh, Rainbow Healing, Cartridge World, Purdies' Linen, and Restaurant Tristan all now have the baskets outside their shops.
