CRAWLEY'S very own version of Glastonbury is coming to a venue near you this summer.
One of the town's favourite local musicians, Mike Dobie, has organised
Never Mind Glastonbury with his friend Andy Jones and it is set to blow people's socks off.

It will host five local acts at the Wingspan Club in Manor Royal.

Mike said: "It will be a great night with no egos or nonsense.

"We have every type of music covered and there is something for everyone's taste.

"There is the right balance of acts and it's for a great cause.

"Everyone knows someone who has a story connected to the charity."

The night will be raising money for St Catherine's Hospice in Southgate, and there is a great line-up of acts for people to enjoy.

They include Angst, R18 featuring Dan Giles and Society, who will be playing a unique British take on American roots music.

If that's not enough, Jon Brazier will performing with Red Light Fever all the way from Finland and Mike Dobie will top the night off with classic indie, punk and mod anthems.

Last year the same event attracted 600 people and raised over £2000 for charity.

Mike added: "Last year was such a success and people were all talking about it the next day."

Never Mind Glastonbury is set to be a professional music event and will be at the Wingspan on Saturday, June 28 from 6pm until late.

He said: "We've already had interest for tickets so we're hoping it will be as successful as last year.

"We have expert people doing the lights and we will get the bands to change over quickly between sets."

Advanced tickets priced £8, NUS £5 are available from the Wingspan or by calling Mike Dobie on 07961812678.
