PUB TALK: St George's Day at the Punch Bowl

CELEBRATE all things British on England's patron saint day – St George's day – at the Punch Bowl.

The High Street pub is set to launch a whole week of celebration with plenty of good old fashioned British fare on offer.

On St George's Day, IPA and Great British real ales will be on offer, and there's plenty on for the rest of the week as well.

There'll be British classics like hand battered fish and chips with a pint or a glass of wine on offer and on Friday April 24 there's a Best of British party.

Staff will be decked out appropriately and it'll be Brit-tunes only from the DJ.

Pub manager Nicki said: "It'll be Best of British tunes, all the staff will be dressed up, and of course customers are welcome to get dressed up as well.

"There'll be 50p off pints of Carling and IPA and lots of great reasons to come out and celebrate our patron saint – maybe even campaign to get it made a bank holiday!"

And from the week after the celebrations Brit-fave fish and chips will stay on the menu to eat in or takeaway.
