Pub Talk: Tilgate punters in for a treat

PUNTERS at the Tilgate pub are in for a treat this week when glam rocker star Elvin Sawdust drops in to bash out some 70s classics.

The glam rocker will be appearing at the pub on April 17 where he will be dishing out tunes from 70s heroes, Wizards, Slade, Queen, Abba, T Rex and much much more.

And local dance legend Gordon Skeggs will also be taking to the pubs stage again on April 24.

Kids can also enjoy the summery weather when the pubs garden opens again this week.

And the kitchen is still open serving great food.

And Manager Sean Mills says he's barely noticed the credit crunch because the popular pub has been bursting with punters.

He said: "We have quite a lot happening in the next couple of weeks.

"We have glam rocker Elvin Sawdust dropping in with a lot of 70s tunes which will be great.

"And Gordon Skeggs is also coming back, he has been really popular and he is signed up with us now for the rest of the year.

"Everything is going well, we are really busy, and we haven't hardly noticed the credit crunch!

"We are really busy and despite the rumours that we are leaving, we are still here, and everything is going very well."
