IT WAS a quiet morning at polling booths across the town as residents trickled in to vote in this year's local elections.
Polling stations opened their doors at 7am this morning and will stay open until 10pm tonight.

The polling station at Three Bridges Junior school has changed venue to Three Bridges Community Centre behind the parade of shops.

Deputy editor Mark Dunford hit the polling stations at 7am to see who was voting and why.

He also caught up with Chris Oxlade (Labour) and Brenda Burgess (Conservatives), who are standing in Three Bridges.

It is good to see in the video people talking about the importance of voting, it would be nice to see more young people taking an interest. Local elections are every bit as important and general elections as they provide the opportunity to send a message to the government good or bad!
