Driver injured after three-vehicle smash

A DRIVER was flown to a specialist hospital in London after a collision at Chailey, involving three vehicles.
The accident happened on Wednesday, October 1, on the A272 outside Chailey Heritage School.
The driver of one of the vehicles was flown by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel where he is being treated for serious injuries.
The two other drivers, both women, were taken to the trauma unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with minor injuries.
The road was closed for four hours whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
