When Tony Smith's exhibit 'More Questions than Answers' goes on display at the 2008 RHS Chelsea Flower Show it will mark an exciting first for the Hayward's Heath based artist and garden designer.
At a show traditionally known for its gardens, Tony's art installation will be a reflection of his growing exasperation with the human condition.

Tony has been producing the piece at his home in Colwell Road for two months and is hoping the piece will attract a positive response.

He said: "The installation expresses my exasperation with humanity and what it is capable of. When I think about this conundrum I realise there are far more questions than answers.

"I am bemused by the amount of effort we expend on health and safety regulation, supposedly to make the world safe and risk free, yet we send soldiers to fight in hostile environments without adequate safety equipment.

"I don't know what reaction to expect from people, I am sure they will find it different to what is usually on display at the show."

The exhibit features white roses forming the outline of a body with red petals representing a bloodstain. The green backdrop is duck weed, reminiscent of the depths of hell or the underworld.
