A VETERINARY nurse from Haywards Heath is searching for the owners of a cat who was found after being hit by a car.

The elderly tabby suffered a fractured jaw after being run over on New England Road on Thursday, August 8.

Kate Howlett, of The Mewes Veterinary Clinic, is worried someone may be missing their loveable pet.

She said: "She has to be fed through a tube at the moment but she will be okay with the right care and attention and will eventually be able to eat again by herself.

"She loves sitting in people's laps and she is very friendly and affectionate so she is obviously being missed somewhere.

"She does not have a micro-chip or collar so we are having difficulties finding an owner. We would really like to reunite her with her owners."

If this is your cat please call The Mewes Veterinary Clinic on 01444 456886.
