GUESTS and staff were evacuated from a town centre hotel after blaze fears turned out to be an overheating sauna.
Fire fighters from Crawley attended the Crowne Plaza hotel, in Langley Drive, at around 3.30pm today (October 24).

Witnesses described seeing smoke coming from a changing room.

But a fire service spokesman confirmed that the problem was caused by an overheating sauna.

Two fire engines remain at the scene.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the Crowne Plaza hotel after reports of smoke issuing from changing rooms."

Check back later for more details.
