£3.6million funding for road repairs

West Sussex County Council (WSCC) has been given £3.6 million from the Government to spend on fixing roads which were damaged during the extreme winter weather.

WSCC will use £1.2 million of this for carriageway patching around the county.

£200,000 will be put towards the continued support for the council’s pothole patrols known as ‘find and fix gangs’.

A further £2.4m will go towards carriageway strengthening and resurfacing.

Worthing Road, in Horsham, will get £40k for repairs.

The A24 at Farthings Hill will get £500.
