Crawley's footway repairs backlog has pricetag of £5.6m - the highest in the county

A BACKLOG of repairs needed on West Sussex footways now totals a staggering £19,334,284 it was disclosed at a county council meeting -with Crawley topping the list at £5.6m.
Figures revealed during the meeting also showed that the Adur backlog has a price tag of £1.8m, Arun £2.2m, Chichester £1.5m, Horsham £2m, Mid Sussex £2.2m and Worthing £3.7m (Figures have been rounded up or down).
