Fatal crash on A23 - dead cyclist named

A CYCLIST was killed in a crash on the A23 at Bolney on Wednesday.
French student Marie Vesco, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision involving two cars on the southbound carriageway near the Hickstead turning at Burgess Hill.

A politics student at London Metropolitan University, Marie was cycling from London to Brighton to take part in a protest at the EDO factory.

A 55-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and subsequently bailed. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
