LATEST:Man from Central Sussex College stabbed - accused in Crawley Court today

A 27 year old male employee from Central Sussex College,who is believed to be from Crawley, was wounded after he was stabbed outside the campus on Queens Road, East Grinstead at around 11.30am yesterday (March 17).
He has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A knife has been recovered close to the scene.
Witnesses are asked to contact DS John Wallace of Mid Sussex CID on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 606 of 17th March or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
* Simon Sargent, 36, of Queens Road, East Grinstead has been charged with wounding.
Sargent has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates Court this morning (March 18).
