Part of the M23 was closed on Thursday after a man jumped from a bridge over the carriageway.
The M23 was closed between J7 (junction with A23) and J8 Redhill (junction with M25) in Southbound direction.

Surrey Police said officers were called to Shepherds Hill, Merstham, on Thursday morning, to reports that a man was threatening to kill himself.

Police negotiated with him, but the man jumped from the bridge an hour later.
