UPDATED: Three men charged with robbery
THREE men appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on Saturday in connection with Thursday's armed robbery.
Stevie Atkins, 26, of no fixed abode, Alexandre Agostinho, 22, of Edgware and Andre Dos Santos Samedo, 23, of Kilburn, faced town magistrates at 10am yesterday (Saturday).
The trio are all charged with robbery, possessing a firearm, taking a vehicle and GBH on a man.
Atkins was also charged with driving whilst disqualified.
The charges are in connection with an armed robbery on a cash delivery van on the A23 at Gossops Green, Crawley, on Thursday.
Samedo was also charged for possession of a Class A drug and failing to surrender to a police station. His additional charges relate to an incident on March 9.
No pleas have yet been entered.
The next hearing will be on Tuesday August 19 at Lewes Crown Court.
All three have been remanded in custody.
Sussex Police have confirmed they have now handed the investigation over to the Met.
