THIS shocking video nasty of bloodthirsty teens punching and kicking each other in the head during a Fight Club-style scrap has been posted on the internet.

The sickening 55-second clip, posted on YouTube this week, shows the young fighters bare-knuckle brawling in Dorsten Square, Bewbush.

A large crowd of youths are pictured filming the horror punch-up on their mobile phones as the boys rain blows down on each other.

Young girls, some thought to be in their early teens, are also filmed aiming punches and slaps at the two bloodied lads – identified as 'Mustapha' and 'Brooker'.

The brutal tussle, entitled 'Typical nite in Bewbush', only ends when one of the teens lays battered and apparently unconscious on the floor, while other laughing kids rush to take more images.

Sergeant Roger Fox, of Crawley Police, said: "We have been made aware of the images that have appeared on You Tube, which may or may not be linked to Crawley.

"Sussex Police take very seriously any situation where young people are subjected to, and involved in violence and we appeal to anyone who can assist us with the identification of the people involved to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or Police on 0845 60 70 999."

I have family in this area and my nephews are growing up to see this nonsense at there local parade...
Clean the streets of pot smoking chav scum like this...
No one wants to see this go on at the local parade no matter where it is...
I also agree with Wes remove the video, highlighting their antics will only provoke them....

What a pair of little thugs - bet they're not so tough without their mates around. I disagree with the people who have said the Observer should take the video down. Perhaps the little hooligans parents will spot it and take some action. If this gang is known to the police why is there no police prescence in Dorsten Square at night? The thugs are claiming the streets abd its about time we took them back.

Typical of the area I live in I'm afraid. Not a brain between any of them in this area. I hate living in Bewbush and would move if it was possible. Horrible place with vandalism and violence. Police should clean the streets of this scum.

I agree with most things written here regarding the "chav scum" - but all this about pot smokers is ridiculous. I've been smoking for years along with many other friends and none of us - NONE OF US are pot smoking chuv scum. Anyone who uses the excuse of cannibis as a reason why they fight, steal and anything else is lying. Adult smokers are not violent from my own experience. it's the teenagers who shouldn't be doing these things in the first place that are the problem. There isn't any control in this country anymore. Parents don't care, police can't do anything, teachers can't do anything. THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE WANTED and are now paying the price!!! Too many human rights for people who don't deserve them and the thing I hate the most is that no one can be named and shamed because they are "minors". Maybe the parents should be the ones named and shamed along side them - maybe that will make them take control of their kids - not the police's kids - Their kids.

I read the letter from councillor Cheshire with interest. She is burying her head in the sand over this. Why make a big fuss about a newspaper naming a rough neighbourhood? That's hardly the point. If councillor Cheshire is so sure that Bewbush is such a haven of safety and good feeling why does she never venture down the Dorsten at 11pm? Because the place is rough that's why. As a councillor she should be talking with the police about the lack of patrols in what is clearly a trouble spot.
