THE WORTHY winners of Helping Hands cash turned up to receive their cheques at a special presentation last night.
In all six organisations were awarded a slice of the £5,000 charity kitty – set up by the generous people at Barclays and the Crawley Observer.

Speaking at Thursday's ceremony at the High Street bank, Barclays manager Peter Clark said he was proud his company could give a "helping hand" to community groups.

He said: "I'm pleased that Barclays can strengthen the local communities in which we live and work by supporting a broad range of causes at a local level."
