A&E waiting times fail to meet target, say NHS statistics

The latest NHS statistics show the percentage of A&E patients seen within four hours at East Surrey Hospital fell to 80 per cent.

A spokesman for the healthcare trust said: “Winter is traditionally a challenging time for the NHS and services across the region are working closely together to provide the best care possible for all patients – and also directing them to use the NHS 111 helpline, walk-in clinics, local GPs and pharmacists as a first point of call for non-emergency conditions.”
