Actors performed the complete works of Shakespeare on a Gatwick flight to celebrate the 450th anniversary of his birth.

Passengers flying to Italy enjoyed an hour-long abridged version of the plays during the flight which departed at 10.20am today (Wednesday April 23).

The Reduced Shakespeare Company put on the show on the easyJet flight.

The airline hopes the show will set a Guinness World Record for the ‘highest theatrical performance’ at 37,000ft.

Paul Moore, communications director for easyJet, said: “We hope to set a new Guinness World Record in the process for the highest ever theatrical performance as well as providing a highly entertaining show for passengers.”
