A former Playboy model who is now devoting her life to animal welfare is launching a celebrity calendar to raise money for stray dogs.
Victoria Eisermann, from Billingshurst, has a successful modelling and TV career and helped to set up the dog rescue charity K-9 Angels in 2011. Since then the charity has saved and re-homed hundreds of dogs.
Her dream now is to open her own rescue centre, but meanwhile, she is hoping that sales of hercelebrity calendar will help to save more dogs’ lives. Among celebs giving their backing to the calendar are Victoria’s near neighbour and DJ David Hamilton and TV prankster Dom Joly.
K-9 Angels rescues street dogs in Romania and is campaigning to end the dog meat trade in Asia. Victoria herself is ‘mum’ to five dogs, two of which, Mica and Benjy, were Romanian strays now living happily in the UK.
It’s all a far cry from the glamour life of a model - a career which Victoria started at the age of 18. She travelled the world and starred in a string of glamorous modelling and TV shoots and was a Playboy lingerie calendar model on a number of occasions.
Victoria has also starred in many TV commercials, including those for Guinness, Birdseye and Sony. She also worked alongside Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in the Stanley Kubrick movie ‘Eyes wide shut’.
Her work has won public endorsements from TV mogul Simon Cowell, actor Peter Egan and Pup Aid charity founder celebrity vet Marc Abraham.
In 2007 she was bestowed with the title of ‘Europe’ssexiest vegetarian’ by the animal charity PETA.
