Asda helped beat the January blues by donating £400 worth of food and electrical items to the Inspire Broadfield charity, to ensure it was fully stocked for the new year.

Charity representatives dropped in at Asda on Thursday (January 22) to collect the donation. The charity aims to start up or take over neighbourhood services such as parenting classes and youth groups. Pauline Payne, Community Life Champion, at Asda, said: “With the colder weather continuing, we hope the donation will be a welcome addition to the already fantastic help and support that Inspire Broadfield provides within the local community.” Louise Weekes, of Inspire Broadfield, said: “With an increasing number of people falling on hard times, donations like this are extremely valued and critical in helping us continue our work and Asda’s will go a long way.”
