Local election results today (Friday May 8) will see at least six new councillors join Crawley Borough Council.

Twelve of the 37 seats on the council were up for grabs, with new councillors guaranteed in Gossops Green, Ifield, Langley Green, Maidenbower, Pound Hill North and Tilgate after a number of encumbants either chose to step down or were deselected.

Currently the council is divided 21-16 in favour of Labour so competition for the six seats which will decide who has control will be fierce.

The result is expected to be announced at around 4pm.
