CALA Homes is set to build a new development of nine houses in Crawley Down after it finalised a deal to purchase land on the edge of the village.

CALA will now proceed with demolition of the existing house at Pastures Wood, Hophurst Lane, before building a mix of detached and semi-detached two, three, four and five bedroom homes.

Planning permission was granted by Mid Sussex District Council in June last year.

Daniel Webber, senior land manager for CALA Homes South Home Counties, said: “This is a small but luxury development which will deliver much-needed new homes in the village.”

“We have worked in close consultation with the local council and the surrounding community to ensure that they could have their say on this development and incorporated their feedback where possible. With the land purchase now complete, we are looking forward to delivering quality homes which have been designed in keeping with their village location.”

Work is expected to start on site in March and a show home will be available to view from late summer. Prices are expected to start from £310,000 for a two-bedroom, semi-detached house.
