A FORMER senior police officer has launched a new service to help businesses in West Sussex to comply with ever tightening cleaning and hygiene rules.

Chemex West Sussex is providing consultancy, training and hygiene solutions to a wide range of businesses including nursing homes, hotels and restaurants.

The service is being provided by Martyn Faint, a former detective inspector with Sussex Police from Middleton on Sea, who has invested in a franchise with Chemex - one of Europe’s leading supplier of cleaning and hygiene products.

The business will be offering a tailor-made service to the area’s businesses, including free infection control consultancy and training, to ensure they do not fall foul of health and safety regulations.

Martyn said: “Whether it is entire hygiene systems for food preparation or cleaning and infection control systems for residential nursing homes, we can help and advise our customers to give them peace of mind.”

He added: “We take away the burden of negotiating the maze of ever-tightening regulations and allow our customers to concentrate on running their businesses.”

He recently retired after 30 years service with Sussex Police and The Metropolitan Police, and said he was looking forward to a new challenge.

Their franchise will serve businesses across a wide area of West Sussex including Brighton, Worthing and Horsham, offering more than 600 products which are not available in supermarkets.

Chemex West Sussex can be contacted on 01903 890588.
