Residents called on to register to vote
WITH local elections due to take place on Thursday May 3, Crawley Borough Council is urging people to make sure they are registered to vote in time.
Thirteen borough council seats are up for grabs this year in every ward except Furnace Green and Northgate.
This is because the council is elected in thirds, which means that the council holds elections in three years out of four, with a few different wards not having an election each year.
Everyone who is entitled to vote in the elections will receive a polling card three or four weeks before, giving details of where the polling stations are as well as your poll number.
You do not have to take your polling card to the polling station but only people who are on the electoral register will be able to vote.
To register, either call Electoral Services on 01293 438346 or print off the form from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk
