A musician will be launching a charity CD which he recorded in one night with a little help from his friends.

Daniel Martin, known as Danny Dangerously, recorded the album – Dirty Barry – at the Imperial Pub, Broadfield, last month, raising £200 for Cancer Research UK in the process.

He will return to the pub on Friday (March 27) for the launch.

Danny said: “I’m hoping with CD and online sales as well as the launch gig we will make a lot more. I’ll be performing on the night with some music buddies and DJ-ing some tunes from old school hip-hop and funk to new school dance hall and sounds.”

The CD is an eclectic mix of sounds and styles and includes a Spanish song called Chorizo – about a sausage – a punk rock number called Rambo, and a reggae tune called Billy Goat In A Caravan By The Sea.

Danny took on the project after learning his mother-in-law had cancer.

He added: “I dedicate this song to my wife and her mum.”

The launch party will kick off at 8.30pm. Only 100 copies of the CD are available.
