Died at East Surrey Hospital on 7th February 2013 aged 94. Funeral service will be held at The Friary RC Church today Wednesday 20th February at 12.15pm followed by burial at Snell Hatch Cemetery. Flowers welcome c/o Francis Chappell & Sons, Crawley.

WENNA MARGARET PARKER

Died at home in Furnace Green on 7th February 2013 aged 80. Leaves daughter Tracey, Mick and 11 grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Surrey and Sussex Crematorium on Tuesday 26th February at 1.45pm. Flowers welcome or donations for Cancer Research may be sent c/o Francis Chappell & Sons,, Crawley.

BRENNAN SAWYER

KATHLEEN DORIS WILSON

Mrs Wilson of Ifield, died at Crawley Hospital on 1st February aged 88 . She leaves her loving sons John, Tony and Colin, daughters Carol and Amanda,grandchildren Angie, Jason, Karn, Marc, Lucy, David, Julia, Rebecca, Sarah and Donna and her great grandchildren.

‘We saw you suffer; we heard your sigh, all we could

do was just sit by. When the time came we suffered too, you never deserved what you went through. If you could have spoken before you died, you know these words you would have replied. This life for me is fading fast. I loved you all to the very last. Cry not for me but courage take and love each other for my sake.’

A funeral service was held on Monday 18th February at

St Margaret’s Church, Ifield followed by committal at the Surrey and Sussex Crematorium. Donations if desired to Paws Animal Sanctuary c/o The Martins Funeral Directors.

MAUREEN ANNE KING

Mrs King of Ifield, died at Deerswood Lodge in Ifield on 8th February aged 70.

She leaves her loving husband John, daughters Lisa and Julie, sons-in-law Rob and Jay, grandchildren Lewis, Ross and Ellie. Now reunited with her best friend Celia, she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday 20th February at 10.30am in St Richards Chapel at the Surrey and Sussex Crematorium. Family flowers only please but donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s Society c/o The Martins Funeral Directors.

REG WICKS

Mr Wicks of Gossops Green, died at East Surrey Hospital on 12th February aged 67 .

He leaves his loving wife Brenda, children Lee Edward, Kim, Louise and Chris, daughters-in-law Carol and Liza, son-in-law Rishi and his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Reg was the manager of Stanley Ball in Broadfield for seven years.

A funeral service will be held on Monday 25th February at 2.15pm in St Richards Chapel at The Surrey and Sussex Crematorium. Funeral arrangements by The Martins Funeral Directors.

REGINALD ‘REG’ PETERS

Mr Peters of Pound Hill died at East Surrey Hospital on 10th February aged 84 years.

Reg leaves his loving wife Betty, son Brian and his wife Shirley, daughter Wendy and her husband Russell, grandchildren Scott, Daryl, Donna and Tanya and his 11 great grandchildren. Reg was an engine driver for 50 years for British Rail.

A funeral service will be held on Friday 22nd February at 10.30am in St Richards Chapel at the Surrey and Sussex Crematorium. Donations if desired to Dementia UK c/o The Martins Funeral Directors.

COLIN LECKY-THOMPSON

Colin Lecky-Thompson of Furnace Green passed away suddenly at home on 13th February aged 82.

Colin leaves his wife Betty, sons David and Richard and their families.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 26th February, 12.45pm at Surrey and Sussex Crematorium.

LES HENCH

Died at East Surrey Hospital on 7th February 2013 aged 82. From Tilgate, Crawley Les was the Mayor of Crawley 2002 – 2003 Councillor for Southgate 1996 – 2000 and Councillor for Tilgate 2000 – 2004. Leaves wife Colleen, daughters Karen, Tracy and Maureen, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Surrey & Sussex Crematorium on Monday 25th February at 11.15am. Flowers welcome or donations for the British Heart Foundation may be sent c/o Francis Chappell & Sons,, Crawley.

MARGARET ROSE HOLMES

Formerly from Pound Hill, passed away at The Gables Nursing Home on Friday 8th February 2013, aged 80.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters Sharon and Susan and their husbands, son Victor and partner, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

PATRICIA HUGHES (PAT)

Mrs Hughes of Southgate passed away at the Royal Sussex County Hospital on 11th February aged 73.

Mrs Hughes leaves sons Steve and Jeff, daughters in law Debbie and Jayne, grandchildren Steve, Kerry, Sophie, Jessica and two great grandchildren.

MARGARET FIEDLER

Mrs Fiedler of Southgate passed away at East Surrey Hospital on 9th February aged 69.

Mrs Fiedler leaves sons Rolf and Michael, family and friends.

PAULINE BEATRICE PHILLIPS

Mrs Phillips of Gossops Green passed away at Goffs Park Nursing Home on 18th February aged 80.

Sadly missed by husband Leonard, sons Stephen and Peter, daughter’s in law Linda, Jacqueline, grandchildren Nicola, Paul and Robert, great grandchildren Kieran and Danny. Mrs Phillips co-owned Dormans Play Group for 32 years with her partner Daphne Knight.

BILL BOWLER

Mr Bowler of Charlotte Court, West Green, diedpeacefully at home on 16th February aged 87.

He leaves his son Steve, daughter Sue, grandchildren Rachel, Ollie, Ben and Amy, son-in-law Roy and daughter-in-law Nicky.

Mr Bowler worked for British Airways.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday 28th February at the Surrey and Sussex Crematorium.

GEORGE HENRY HIRSCH

Mr Hirsch of Furnace Green, died peacefully in Crawley Hospital in the company of Laisa, aged 89 . He leaves his loving family Julie, Laura and Matthew and will be sadly missed by all. George had worked for British Airways as an Aviation Fleet Controller for over 25 years. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday 27th February at 1.45pm in the memorial chapel at the Surrey and Sussex Crematorium.
