Counter terror police have arrested four men at Gatwick Airport.

The British nationals were stopped on Saturday (May 2) after being refused entry to Turkey three days before, said the Met police.

A spokesman said the men, who were aged 36, 38, 37 and 32, were arrested for an offence under the Civil Aviation Act 1982, taken to south London police stations and bailed to return in June.

The stop was made under Schedule 7 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act after the men were refused entry to Antalya Airport on Wednesday April 25.
