A Hollywood actress is preparing for a move to Sussex, according to national newspaper reports.
Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett reportedly secured the purchase of the recently-renovated Highwell House, in Crowborough, this month and is set to move into the mansion with her husband and children.
The seven-bedroom Victorian country house, which stands on 13 acres of land, was on the market with Knight Frank for a guide price of £3.25m.
The online property description said: “Highwell House is an exceptional country house occupying an elevated position in the much coveted East Sussex countryside.
“The house is replete with original features, with many of the materials having been either reclaimed from the original site or especially hand crafted to suit the property.”
According to an article in The Sunday Times, the 46-year-old actress was discussing her imminent move to East Sussex with friends at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles last week.
