COUNTY NEWS: Murder investigation launched after man found dead

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found dead this afternoon, police have said.

Police said they were called to Osmonde Close, Worthing at 12.15pm after the man’s body was discovered in a doorway.

According to police, the body was lying inside the house and police officers had to break in to gain access.

Detective chief inspector Tanya Jones said: “Sadly, the man, in his early 50s, was dead and we are currently awaiting an indication of when he died. He is believed to have been stabbed and we have recovered a knife from the scene.”
