Crawley boy charged in connection with robbery in Brighton

A 16-year-old boy from Crawley has been charged in connection with the robbery of a phone in Brighton.

The phone was stolen from a 22-year-old man on Friday (August 8).

Sussex Police said the man, who was with a group of friends, was threatened with a knife.

The boy was charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was also charged with two burglaries in Surrey.

He appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on Saturday (August 9) and was remanded in custody.
