Midfielder Ross Jenkins has had his contact at Crawley Town terminated so he can join Romanian side ACS Poli Timisoara.

The former Watford midfielder is due to sign a contract until the end of the 2016-17 season after flying to Romania on Thursday.

Jenkins joined Reds in September and made 12 appearances. His contract was until the end of the season.

Crawley manager Mark Yates said: “Ross has got an opportunity to get a good contract in Romania and we didn’t want to stand in his way.

“He’s been an excellent pro during his time here and we wish him all the best for the future.”
