Crawley care home set for planning approval

Plans to allow a house in Three Bridges to be used as a care home for adults with severe learning disabilities have been recommended for approval.

The application is scheduled to go before Crawley Borough Council’s development control committee on Monday (July 14).

The applicant, Pathway Healthcare, wants permission to change the usage of 140 Three Bridges Road, which is currently registered as being a dwelling.

In addition permission has been sought to build a single storey extension to the rear of the property and to replace the garage doors with windows.

The council received five objections from people worried about highway safety, the size of the extension and maintenance.
