Crawley United Reformed Church, has completed Phase One recently, of a Regeneration Project, is holding special service and family fun afternoon on Sunday (August 23).
The building work at the Pound Hill church has included the construction of a new frontage, the addition of a new main entrance and a compete refurbishment of the sanctuary.
Sunday’s service will be led by the area moderator for the URC, Rev Nicola Furley-Smith. The minister of the church, Rev Bridget Banks will assist.
The service will be followed by a Family Fun Afternoon, which is open to all.
Aimed at being fun for children, attractions will include a fire engine, bouncy castle, petting zoo, train ride and children’s entertainer. A barbecue and afternoon tea will be served. There is a small charge for food but entrance and attractions are free. All trusts, which have awarded a grant have been invited, together with all other supporters
Of note the Veolia Landfill Trust offered a large grant and both West Sussex County Councils and Crawley Borough Council have been very supportive of the project.
