Predictions from all sides suggest Crawley Borough Council will be taken over by Labour.

While Henry Smith MP admitted the Conservatives would “always face an uphill battle” keeping control of the council, Furnace Green Cllr Duncan Crow has tweeted: “Sad to say that it looks like Labour are going to get a majority on Crawley Borough Council, but at least no UKIP look like getting elected.”

Langley Green Cllr Brenda Smith predicted Labour had secured the three seats needed to take control as well as a fourth.

Predictions from Labour councillors suggest the group has won Southgate by less than 100 votes and Ifield by 100-200 votes.
