The Crawley Lions president Mike Sexton welcomed mayor Raj Sharma to the Lions’ annual ‘It’s a Knockout!’ event for adults with special needs and learning difficulties. Some 13 teams enthusiastically took part in much loved games from ‘post a letter’ to ‘pin up the washing’ at Crawley K2.

At the end of the day, each team took home a commemorative plaque and each participant received a certificate and medal recognising their achievements.

Mike Sexton, President of Crawley Lions Club said: “This is always a fabulous day, I’m not sure who has the most fun - the Lions and their helpers or those taking part.

“We very much look forward to coming back again next year.”

The Mayors of Crawley, Councillor Raj Sharma and Haywards Heath, Councillor Sujan Wickremaratchi, together with a member of Horsham Council were on hand to judge the best joker competition and to help with the presentations.

Councillor Raj Sharma said: “The whole day was full of non-stop fun and laughter, it was great to see so many people of all abilities get together to play games and enjoy themselves.”
