Crawley man pleads not guilty to Three Bridges murder


A 23-year-old charged with murdering a Portuguese man in Three Bridges has pleaded not guilty.

Daniel Palmer, from Maunsell Park, Station Hill, Three Bridges, appeared via video link at Lewes Crown Court today (Friday April 4).

He pleaded not guilty to murdering Joao Esteves, 45, from Lisbon, on January 19.

Mr Esteves was found with serious head injuries in an alleyway between Stephenson Way and Haslett Avenue East in the early hours of the morning.

Palmer was remanded in custody until his trial on July 21 at Lewes Crown Court.

It is due to last three weeks.
