A railway worker who survived being hit by a 90mph train will feature in a Channel 4 documentary.

Alan Evans, of Gossops Green, and his family can be seen in an episode of 24 Hours in A&E at 9pm on Wednesday (January 21).

Alan, 61, suffered multiple fractures and loss of blood flow to his right arm after he was struck while working on rail tracks in Redhill in 2014.

He was airlifted to St George’s Hospital in London, where the series is based, on June 24.

A spokesman for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance said its doctor and paramedics treated him.

His arrival at the hospital’s major trauma centre and his son’s wait for news will be broadcast.
