The Age UK West Sussex chief executive was joined by the Mayor of Crawley to officially open its new hub in Crawley.
Cllr Raj Sharma, was welcomed by Diane Henderson, to cut the ribbon at the centre in Town Barn Road, opposite Crawley Hospital.
The charity has moved from its old home at the Silver Birch Centre in Shackleton Road in Tilgate.
Ms Henderson and the charity hoped the new base would enable more people to access their services.
She said: “We were delighted that the Mayor of Crawley could join us for the centre opening.
“Our new location is in the centre of town and it will provide even more older people the opportunities to socialise, learn new skills and keep active.
“Why not pop by for a cup of tea and cake or one of our home-cooked lunches?”
Membership of Age UK West Sussex Crawley Centre reduces the cost of each activity session and is available for an annual fee of £15.
