Crawley mayor Brenda Smith has been presented with a crest to thank her for her support of the Royal Naval Association.
The presentation was made on Saturday (April 18) after she in turn presented Jack Woodhouse, 86, the new president of the Crawley branch, with his insignia. Branch secretary Jilly Hart said neither Brenda nor Jack knew they were to receive the presentations. The association has 27 members, including the mayor’s husband, Jim, and meets once a month. Anyone who would like to join can call Jilly on 07434 139 227.
