Crawley town centre 70th anniversary event to mark end of WWII

A remembrance service will be held in Memorial Gardens to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

The drumhead service on Victory in Japan Day (August 15) will include a march of standards and a two minute silence.

The Mayor of Crawley, councillor Chris Cheshire will attend.

The Royal British Legion has organised the event, which will run from 1.30pm to 2pm.
