Crawley boy, 16, charged with two burglaries and joy-riding

A 16-year-old boy will appear in court charged with two burglaries and joy-riding.

The boy, from Crawley, is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on May 13 charged with two counts of aggravated burglary and one count of taking a car without consent.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the burglaries took place overnight on April 29.

A home in The Acorns, Pound Hill, was broken into and a laptop computer and the keys to a Toyota Auris were taken.

The Toyota parked outside the home was then driven away and found parked later in Lancelot Close, Ifield.

Later that night, two laptops, paperweights and kitchen knives were stolen from a home in Edrich Road, Broadfield.
